I have SC and PA nonresident.

I was wondering how often you guys carried?

I have to leave it behind at work unfortunately, but when im off or out of the office i'm usually packing.

I'f im fully dressed at home, im likely carrying. But if not, theres a gun nearby.

I'm really considering gettting a little kel tec pf9 or something small that can go with me everywhere.

If you want small, and depending on your budget, Seecamp 380, Rohrbaugh 9X19, even the LCP will all fit in just about any pocket.

As far as guns nearby, I guess that just depends on the area you live in. My neighborhood is VERY quiet - it is mostly retired folks, so there are always "eyes and ears" everywhere

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to look into my options soon. Whatever I get, I want to probably get in a pair. One for me and one so I can get my wife to carry.

In pa it not actually a ccw permit its a ltcf (lisence to carry firearms) got mine for my b-day a few yrs ago I carry anytime my life MAY be in danger which is all the time. I work for my local county which is located in a shit hole of a town/city. Cant carry in work so im disarmed there but if a store or other bussiness tries to deny me that right I wont shop or attend that establishment. Philly P.D. Recently harrased a legal carring citizen so now I will not enter philly until the get thier shit strait.

Youtube philly pd harassment or the like it angries up the blood

When I worked for a county here, if you had a gun in your personal car on their property - as in parked while you went to work - it was grounds for termination; if you had one in the building or county vehicle, you were gone immediately - didn't help much for the ride to and from work.

I should carry more than I do............

I always carry! I'm partial to 5 shot wheel guns myself, not many rounds, but their ease of use in a stress situation makes is a plus. I also enjoy the light weight of my S&W 642 Ti which makes it easy to carry in a pocket holster. However, that light weight counts against you in recoil when shooting.
As for when going to and from work, I am fortunate in that New Mexico castle laws extends to vehicles so I can (and do) have a gun at all times in my vehicle (CCW permit or not) and the employer or university have no say in the matter.

I work for the State, so carry is prohibited at work. However we do have the castle doctrine which extends to our vehicles.

I have Ohio and PA(non-res). I know the feeling of not being able to carry at work - I was a teacher and Ohio law says no - which caused some problems.

Now retired and carry everyday and all the time.

I carry a 1911. Backup is a Ruger SR9c.

I have friends that really like and carry the Ruger LC9; which is a nice pocket gun.
