NJ Larry comment to my discussing the DoubleStar C3 as an "urban rifle:"

Can you pls describe the use of a rifle for "urban carry"? Also can you quantify and document the actual incidents where this is used in the USA on a yearly basis?

Actually a pretty good question. First, you're going to have to grant that I'm paranoid. D'uh! Well, I prefer to think that I'm a realist and that much of my personal philosophy is based on a song by Jim Morrison:

Well, I woke up this morning, I got myself a beer
Well, I woke up this morning, and I got myself a beer
The future's uncertain, and the end is always near

Walhog Wilderness is proud to introduce the Gun Jimmy, a rubber condom for a firearm. The Gun Jimmy protects the inside of the barrel from moisture and dirt, which can rob a gun of accuracy, making it unsafe to shoot.

Hunters and gun enthusiasts often find themselves in bad weather. Until now, they've relied on balloons, duct tape and other products to keep the inside of their gun barrel clean and free of dirt, moisture and debris. With the Gun Jimmy, those headaches are a thing of the past.

I have a question though... this comes with a 16" chrome moly barrel and no carry handle or mount. At some point I would like to replace the barrel with maybe a cold-forged chrome lined barrel and add the RRA Dominator 2 mount. Are those things possible to do by myself, after purchase, or at least by someone after purchase?

Thanks! ]]>
