Blue Water Sportsman’s Association is a full-service sportsman’s club featuring a wide variety of shooting activities. Offering both outdoor and indoor ranges as well as a variety of shooting leagues, there is something to do.

This is a public shooting range run under permit of the U.S. Forest Service. They offer a public handgun range, a public rifle range, spaces for shooting clays and several private ranges. They sell ammunition and limited refreshments.

Shooting is $10/day per person for the entire public range area. Private ranges can be rented for $20/day per person, with a 4 person minimum.

They are closed to the public on Tuesdays.

The rifle range has a maximum distance of 210 yards and 75 yards on the pistol range. During the week (Monday through Friday) we offer a 500 yard rifle range for an additional $5. We advise you to call ahead as this range is not always available.

Welcome to Calibers Indoor Range and Training Center, the Triad's premier shooting facility located in Greensboro, NC since 1991.

Calibers Indoor Range and Training Center is equipped with 12 firing lane positions, with a maximum shooting distance of 25 yards.

Our trained and NRA certified staff offers NC Concealed Carry Permit instruction and classes are given by the staff. More information can be found in CCW section of this site.

While we mostly cater to the general public at large, we currently have 9 law enforcement agencies from around the area and 12 security companies that train and qualify with us. We welcome the general public, security, military and law enforcement.

No experience is necessary and our trained staff is here to help and answer any questions that you may have. The most important thing to us is your safety and ours. We want your experience to be both enjoyable and safe.

Also, When bringing your own gun to calibers, please have it in a gun case or secured in a holster when entering.

The facility offers a 50-yard pistol range, a 200-yard rifle range, and skeet and trap ranges for shotgunners. All facilities are available for a small fee, which helps cover operating costs: rifle and pistol - $3 per person, skeet and trap - $4 per round of 25. Eye and ear protection are provided, and spotting scopes are available for a $2 rental.

Silhouette range - Firing positions to accommodate 25 shooters. Spinners and various other steel rimfire targets available or bring your own. .22 rimfire only

Archery Range - Various targets, including full sized deer targets are scattered in a tree covered area. Firing is done from a small platform and is informal.

Clubhouse - kitchen facilities, rest rooms and a large meeting area with tables and folding chairs.

The new Hoover Tactical Firearms location is a former grocery store, converted into a spacious retail area, and private shooting range (with members' lounge, private cleaning areas, meeting/banquet rooms, and more) featuring state-of-the-art shooting lanes, bullet traps, targeting systems and - importantly- a ventilation system that actually keeps clean air moving throughout the range. All totaled, the facility totals more than 52,000 square feet.
