Worth every penny thats for sure.
I have this thing on my Colt and I must say, Any AR 15 variant I have
( Unless I'm going for a more original look )
I will have this tool on my firearm. Makes life a lot easier & faster.
I did not like this thing, For me it's more of a comfort carry tool than any thing, if I was going on a (Long Range Patrol ) or something of that nature. I do not recommend for first time user purchases, Try it out before you buy it as they can be quite expensive.
I immediately did not approve of this product.
This gun is probably one of the Sexiest in my collection. Even over the M1A and all others. There is just something about this old rifle that just calls to everyone around, " please work my action "
A perfect hog gun, accurate & powerful.
I personally will not buy a Mossberg 500.. That does not mean I will not use one at the range for fun or when SHTF & I can't get an 870 Wingmaster.
The Saiga 12 is a great shotgun.
I would not hesitate to walk out of the house with an SKS, it's been used for many many years. No reason for me to change the trust of time.
This stuff is AWESOME, so awesome I wish the US Army would transfer over to it. They are like PJ's & not in a bad way. These things Breath in the heat really well. And if your in Florida like I am Cold weather is not really that big of an issue ( most of the time )
It's real only downfall is lack of availability. Their hard to find and when you do they can be quite expensive.
This is what the army has issued to my entire unit. I personally know that they work, know that they will work for hours and hours and hours under combat stress. they are rugged and durable and accurate and pretty light. View is not bad.
I just don't like them. The tube design throws me off, and the dot covers to much of the target area when you step out to anything past 100 meters. Still a great product. Just not my cup of tea.
I bought mine because I was sick and tired of the Armies Aimpoint. Thing was awesome, Quality was outstanding, durability off the charts. ( I read somewhere that one got shot and continued to run, the guy sent it back to eotech and they replaced it for him ) The Circle with the dot in the center is way easier to use than just a dot, the circle gives you the idea of centering the target, shoulders, head, COM Squeeze trigger. It's weight isn't bad at all just has heavy as an aimpoint system, size is a bit big but it makes up for it with the use of REGULAR BATTERIES! Field of view is quite effective, allows better peripheral's than the tube. Bat life is something like 350 hours or something. Not sure don't quote me.
The only negative to it is that after 4 hours if not adjusted or messed with. It auto shuts down. Granted that's pretty sweet yeah save batteries. What if I needed it for more that 4 hours? Patrols can last a long time ya know, if that thing shuts down right before a firefight what good is it to me?
THE BEST FLASHLIGHT I HAVE EVER OWNED. This thing was mounted on my M4 since day one of my tour 11 months later, it works great. Sure it's missing some paint, and isn't so pretty. But it works.
If you can afford it buy it.
