I have no revolvers yet, when I get the money, I will soon have one after that:)

I have three revolvers - the S&W 642 in 38+P which my wife carries plus my two pride and joys; a S&W M29 44 mag in nickel, 4" barrel and a S&W M686 357mag in stainless again with a 4" barrel.

I would admit to have never shot either of them - not for any other reason than I just haven't got round to doing so - I do prefer semi-auto's but these guns, much like the the Colt Python and the Ruger Blackhawk are a bit special aren't they? So for now, they remain "safe queens" !

Ron - you might want to have her rent one and try it. I find 38+P to be a handful in my 642. Not saying she won't like it, but letting her try it first would be prudent

Rod,
I sold my wheelguns a couple years ago, but I have the bug again for a 44 mag. I really want to get my wife a nice little j frame or something like the ruger lcr for when she gets her cwp.

Well yes. I use them for matches on a monthly basis . Have one or two around for house guns and enjoy loading for them. They are so easy it is almost embarrassing.

Carry one every day in my pocket - have more revolvers than semis - since I reload, I HATE trying to find my brass, especially at one club where all the brass is in the grass and no else, it seems, reloads.........

Although i have to admit, cleaning my Glock takes about 30 seconds - including field stripping and reassembly

Glad to see everyone here in the group.

Tell about what type of wheel gun you carry, use and/or own.

I have a Ruger GP-100 6" that has been protecting me and my family for over 20 years now. Just picked up a S&W 63 with 3" for target shooting. Very nice little gun.,

lol.....just the Tx prison system! I love a good revolver for playtime but they are obsolete for work.

Personally do not believe that. Some people think that using the revolver is the only way to go. Personally I carry my 1911 all the time; but on occasions will carry the 625.

I see lots of people carry J-frames. Unless you know that your getting into a fire fight you can never carry enough ammo

Revolvers became obsolete when people figured out you can't reload fast enough under stress or at all with one hand.
